In March 1999, Palo Chodelka in cooperation with the director Ivan Koener
and Slovak Television Bratislava shot 15-volume television series Guitar School, that was televised
in April - June 1999. Since it has met a great success within the watchers, he have decided to continue with
a new project PALO CHODELKA - ROCK GUITAR SCHOOL, realized in a form of multimedial CD-ROM release.
The guitarist Palo Chodelka had made up this guitar school according to his own practises and compositions.
It is targeting on advanced rock guitarists mainly and it aims to introduce all the guitar techniques used
in modern rock play. It consists of more than 150 lessons which help young guitarists to get familiar with
quartal, backlide, triplet, sextuplet, legato, pentatonic, blues, hammering, glissando and arpeggio procedures
and their use in guitar practice. All of the lessons are explained in detail, illustrated and supported with
tablatures and notes. The guitar techniques are applied in certain musical samples. The school aims at developing
skill and technique.
The whole material will is divided into 3 parts, each of them consisting of CD-ROM with individual exercises,
music samples, transcriptions and visual illustrations of guitar techniques. A publication of notes and tabulatures
will be also enclosed.
